MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL:

Dear Scituate High School Community,

I hope this letter finds you happy, healthy and enjoying the last few weeks of summer break. It has been a busy summer here at the high school. The renovation and construction project is nearing completion and students will return to find improved conditions throughout the building. In addition to the renovations, a number of maintenance issues were addressed. All renovations will be completed prior to the start of school. The middle school construction is scheduled for completion in early November; this will not interrupt school operation. I would like to personally thank our custodial staff for their efforts to ensure a smooth and timely opening.

As we prepare to embark on another school year, be assured that faculty and staff at SHS have been busy preparing for the coming year. We have had numerous professional development sessions attended by faculty members throughout the summer. There has also been a great deal of preparation as we implement a number of new and innovative courses for our students. Our hope is that students will work harder, learn more, and feel better about school than they ever have before. It is our goal that administration, faculty, community members, parents, and students work collaboratively throughout the year to support the students of Scituate High School.

Schedules and informational letters have been mailed out and I look forward to seeing students on September 2nd. Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Mike Sollitto
